Desperately Seeking Doctors
As I write my job applications, attend my interviews and generally panic about the looming prospect of unemployment, perhaps Kristy, Jonny and Felicity were right all along about what I should do!
Is this the answer to my prayers???
Outback appeal to attract medics

Canada is looking for Medical Doctors, but I am not sure how easy it is to get past the paper work.

Hi Keziah
I can sympathise with the Job Applications and uncertainty about the future (I applying for jobs and becoming anxious about the uncertainty of future a bit over a year ago). However since getting a job and working in a company that seems to be constantly going through company restructures I have been finding more and more that God will direct our steps and he will lead us to where he wants us. As we live each day for him he will open and close doors and make HIS WILL happen. All things happen for a purpose so that he (God) is glorified. Although we would Love to have you in Australia, I pray God will guide your steps so that you can continue to serve him where he desires for you to be. God Bless
Well that would be a great move too! I'll keep praying that you have peace as you walk through these uncertain times.
Haha, that's funny. :) The surgery I work in actually has an overseas-trained GP who worked in the outback!! Actually, I've personally worked for three of them. Our surgeries employ a lot of Indian and Pakistani GPs as the owner is Indian. :) They all start off in the outback before having the option of moving to the city.
Russ - I'll remember that should I find myself umemployed this summer. My parents was just saying to me that they would prefer me to work in Canada rather than Australia because it is a shorter flight. For me, I just want to visit Newfoundland some day because there is a street there named after a relative. Friends have been there and sent me a photo of it, but I'd love to visit it!
Felicity - Thanks for the encouragement. I probably sound stressed but, at the moment, I actually have a lot of peace about the Lord directing my path, whether that is Scotland or Australia! If I head to your neck of the woods, you'll need to show me around!
Susan - thank you for your continued prayers. I really do have a peace about things right now, so I am very thankful to God for that and for the knowledge that people are praying for me.
Kristy - Maybe they send us all to the outback first to see if we can hack life in Australia?! I'd love to do a job like that, facing whatever comes your way. Sounds a little bit scary but would be great experience. I've emailed them just out of interest...
Praying that you will be lead by God to the exact position in the precise location that He has planned for you. When I graduated from nursing school there was a low demand. Everyone kept saying, "You'll only find work in a nursing home." The elderly were my favorite patient population so that was not a "bad" thing in my eyes. Still, I so wanted to work in cardiac care and I determined to do so (and succeeded). I'm a SAHM now, but I still believe God opens doors that we are meant to walk through (and closes doors behind us to guide us along that path).
Btw, I loved the story of how your parents came to Christ. Not what you expected from an argument, I'm sure. Trust His plan. It was at play in that tense moment for your parents' good and His glory. It's at play now as you job search.
Blessings,
~Toni~
Toni - thank you for the encouragement! My first interview was yesterday and seemed to go well. Cambridge is a beautiful town so I would be very happy there!
Glory to the GOD of Moses
