Wisdom of the Wise: Alexander MacLaren
No unwelcome tasks become any the less unwelcome by putting them off till tomorrow. It is only when they are behind us and done, that we begin to find that there is a sweetness to be tasted afterwards, and that the remembrance of unwelcome duties unhesitatingly done is welcome and pleasant. Accomplished, they are full of blessing, and there is a smile on their faces as they leave us. Undone, they stand threatening and disturbing our tranquility, and hindering our communion with God. If there be lying before you any bit of work from which you shrink, go straight up to it, and do it at once. The only way to get rid of it is to do it.

Thank you for that wonderful quote Keziah. It is absolutely perfect for me. I am the queen of procrastination!!! I'd like to frame this one.
Love this quote! I sent it to my daughter this week to encourage her to send for her AP scores and fill out her graduation application before the deadline. It worked her, she smiles, she's free.
Great quote. I passed this on to a friend too. FYI, I think you are very wise young lady. :) Thanks for your blog and keep up the good work.
What wonderful advice. Thankyou.
Ha, I recognise that quote! The general realm of thinking is what made me get out of bed early on a Saturday morning to get on the road early when I went down to Mount Gambier. :) It was worth it...
ok, so maybe it doesn't make sense to anybody else but getting up early on a saturday morning is DEFINITELY an unpleasant task...especially when you have to then drive for 5 hours. :)
